Training is where the work begins! We will take the time to write legislation, judicial briefs, and prepare the first newspaper for conference. At training, delegates will work with the officers and alumni to take their ideas and turn them into the legislation that will be debated at the annual conference in April. Attorneys in Judicial will prepare their legal arguments and practice with our Chief Justice.
Please know what branch you want to participate in and report directly to that branch breakout at 8:00 AM. We will break for lunch and return to work before breaking for the day at 2:30 PM.
Parking On Campus: There are several options for parking on campus, including on the street in unmarked spaces, the Yale parking structure, and any open parking lots to the west of the building. We will mostly be in Dane Smith Hall, which is located NW of the Duck Pond. Dane Smith is a multi-story building -- there will be Youth and Government signs to help you find it.
What's Due? The program fee of $225 unless there is a previous agreement. All applications will be turned in prior to this event.
Media Delegates: Media delegates are asked to attend both days of training, one to be intervieed and to work on Saturday. Please coordinate with your advisor or media officers with questions.
Judicial and Legislative Delegates: We highly suggest those students who are doing both legislature and judicial to attend both days, one day in leg and one day in judicial.
