2022 YOUTH & GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE

Dates: Sunday April 3 – Tuesday April 5, 2022
Location: New Mexico State Capitol Building; The Lodge at Santa Fe
Conference fee: $250 (includes all meals & lodging)
If you require financial assistance to participate, apply for a scholarship here.

Conference COVID Protocol:

  • Masks will be required at all times outside of assigned hotel rooms.

  • Daily self-assessments for COVID symptoms and temperature checks will be conducted.

  • All meals will be provided. Participants may not visit public dining establishments during the conference. All participants will have the opportunity to submit allergies and dietary restrictions.

  • If a participant leaves conference, they may not return.

  • We will be operating in a conference bubble for the duration of the event to minimize the risk of COVID spread and protect all participants. For the protection of those in our community who are at greater risk, we ask that you take these precautions seriously and fully commit to protecting those around you by following the COVID protocols of the conference and eliminating contact with individuals not in the conference during the event.

COVID Test Update:

PCR tests prior to the event are no longer required, and appointments at the YMCA are canceled. Rapid tests will not be provided at the event. All participants (delegates, advisors, and volunteers) should take an at-home test the morning of the event. Take a photo with your phone of the at-home test result. The timestamp of the photo will be checked when you arrive at the conference. Additionally, we will do a temperature check and assess if you have any symptoms before you participate. You must check-in with a conference adult to complete these steps upon arrival and will receive a bracelet for admission to the event.

If you are unable to obtain a rapid COVID test due to unavailability or cost, contact nmyag@ymcacnm.org by Friday 4/1 at 5 pm for help in obtaining an at-home rapid test.

If you were billed for a rapid test at Training, the Medic Buddy team has committed to helping make sure that the costs of those tests are covered by insurances, as that was the mandate in place at the time of that event. Therefore, please contact billing@dcuc.com AND kelly.spring@dukecitycares.com explaining that you participated in the YMCA testing event on February 26 and should not have been billed for your test.
