**ANNOUNCEMENT**

EXECUTIVE
The Executive Branch includes elected officers and appointed officials who help lead the entire Youth and Government program. Executive officers guide program decisions and determine what happens to legislation after it passes both chambers.

What Participants Do
Delegates may apply to serve in two key teams:

Governor’s Cabinet

Advise the Governor on whether bills passed through the legislature should be signed or vetoed.​

Review the potential impacts and concerns surrounding each bill.
Attorney General’s Cabinet
-
Review bills for legal and constitutional issues.

Work with authors to suggest fixes before or as bills move through the process.

If necessary, pull bills for a Judicial Review hearing on Constitutionality.

Support the Attorney General in advising both the Governor and Legislature.

Leadership & Oversight
-
Elected Executive Officers — including the Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General lead the Executive Branch throughout the year.

Appointed Cabinet members provide essential research and analysis to assist with decision-making and program operations.

How to Get Involved
Delegates may apply to serve in either Cabinet through the program’s application process, which is due by the communicated deadline for Appointed Position Applications.
